Global Vaccine Data Network - GVDN
Vendredi 16 septembre, l’équipe Biostatistique en grande dimension | cesp (inserm.fr) a reçu la visite de Yannan Jang et Janine Paytner, chercheuses néozélandaises, responsables biostatistique et épidémiologie, respectivement, au sein de la coordination du consortium international Global Vaccine Data Network (GVDN) Home | Global Vaccine Data Network .Le GVDN existe depuis 2019 et compte actuellement 18 pays partenaires. Son but est de mettre au point des études collaboratives sur la sécurité et l’efficacité vaccinales à partir de bases de données nationales. Il a obtenu un financement du CDC pour divers projets concernant les vaccins Covid. Sollicitée dès le début de l’initiative, Sylvie Escolano est la correspondante française du GVDN, dans le cadre d’un partenariat avec l’Inserm, et participe aux projets en utilisant les données du SNDS.
Cette journée a été l’occasion d’intéressants échanges concernant l’implication de l’équipe dans les projets en cours autour des vaccins Covid et de possibles collaborations sur de futurs projets. Cette visite en France était la première étape pour les deux chercheuses d’une tournée de différents sites partenaires du GVDN, en Europe puis au Canada.
On Friday, September 16, the High-Dimensional Biostatistics team received Yannan Jang and Janine Paytner, New Zealand researchers and biostatistics and epidemiology leaders, respectively, at the coordination of the multinational consortium Global Vaccine Data Network (GVDN). The GVDN, a large-scale global project, now expanded to 18 partner countries, was launched in 2019 to develop collaborative vaccine safety and effectiveness studies from national databases. It was funded by the CDC for various projects on Covid vaccines. Sylvie Escolano has been part of this initiative since its inception as the French correspondent for GVDN through a partnership with Inserm, and participates in projects using the French national health data system (SNDS).
This day was an opportunity for valuable exchanges concerning the involvement of the team in ongoing projects on Covid vaccines and possible collaborations on future projects. This visit in France was the first step for the two researchers of a tour of some GVDN partner sites, in Europe and in Canada.
